Reimagining K‐12 School Integration Policy in Massachusetts

Cambridge, MA – On February 28, 2013, One Nation Indivisible hosted a strategy session for Boston-based educators, policy experts, scholars, students, advocates and organizers to discuss ideas for strengthening K-12 school integration policy in Massachusetts.  After reviewing the history of state-supported school integration and current research/data, we began thinking about how to revive and reinvent an effective state role in promoting diversity and avoiding resegregation in Massachusetts public schools.

Over the next few months, we will continue convening people who have shown a commitment to promoting equity and diversity in public schools. Our goal is to build a network of creative and thoughtful educators, policy experts, scholars, students, advocates and organizers who are interested in developing ideas and proposals that support integration efforts at the local, regional, and state levels. Email us if you would like to get involved.
